End of Xenosaga. End of an era?

I can’t believe it’s been almost four years since began playing the first Xenosaga game. After disappointing sales, the series ended prematurely with Episode III. All I feel is emptiness.

The story isn’t that bad if you take it for what it is — a pretentious space soap opera. I admit that some characters’ motives felt weak at times, but I still enjoyed it. I guess I had grown so accustomed to the characters that I simply didn’t care that the story felt like the brainchild of a namedropping high school student. After all, those ridiculous things were what I liked about Xenogears before I realised that using Christian symbols doesn’t necessarily make a story profound or interesting. Yes, believe it or not, I went to high school once upon a time too.

A post about Xenosaga can’t be complete unless I pimp MOMO, right? I can’t wait until scientists invent stuff like magic, a 6th season of Futurama and 100-Series Observational Units. Is it still ephebophilia when it’s about an artificial human?

heh… it is kinda sad that its “ending”… though, at least it means less chance for them to steal your money with fake loli’s!!

i still have to get through ep. 2 though -_-;;

I guess it was kind of true that the story near the end kind of made your eyes roll. I especially remember when they revealled who/what KOS-MOS is suppose to be. I had a mixed sense of falling out my my chair laughing to wtf to “OMG, please no”. But I guess in the end it really was the characters that carried the show. Some of them are kind of weak like you said, while some of them got really annoying in episode 3, but it all turned out well for me as I really liked the characters.

I haven’t played any of the Xenosaga games, but I heard it wasn’t bad from some and others hate it because you can’t run in the game and its pretty boring…or so I’ve heard. I actually wanted to play the third game because the cover caught my eye *It was the shiny 3d one*, but I realized it would be stupid unless I play the others. Would you recommend trying it or no?

It’s an era for me

I’ve been waiting for the end since 98/99. Takahashi got his second change and fucked up again.

The worst thing is that while most mysteries are explained, the ending doesn’t really conclude the story and I doubt Namco is willing to make a fourth game.

Ever notice how MOMO is the only girl you get panty shot of? Also, as far as I’ve been able to see, she’s the only one in the character viewer that has more than just a shadow when you look up her dress.

I was tapping MOMO in my mind since Episode 1.

Why can’t you hurry and invent fake lolis and magic!!! Those are like…the 2 things I wish I had right now. Well, as far as I know, they already did invent fake lolis, just not as cool as MOMO.

ok the first xenosaga game was awesome. i became addicted and had to get the second one. but the second one was so disappointing for the that went i went into momo’s subconscious i just gave up and sold both copies. i haven’t played the 3rd cause the second one sucked so much.

Yea,Nephilim(now that’s a real LOLI) poorly suffered a strange disease that she have to get her pelvis cut to her thighs….
