Nintendo has a wired ethernet “kit” in the works, to be released sometime after New Years, IIRC.

No ethernet port, at the moment. They have one in the makes, but you’re better off just having a router or the dongle. But right now, internetz isn’t essential.

All it lets you do is send messages and Miis to other people, along with the capability to share porn with your Wii Friends (uploaded via SD card).

If you do go online, I demand a Wii Friend Code.

And I also demand you send a lot of porn.

As for my Wii adventures, 3 hour wait at a hopeless store. Another 3 at a store, where I scored the 4th last one. No extra controllers ( D: ) but, 4 games (pre-ordered, didn’t make the Wii pre-orders).

I lucked out. The store got like, 32 more units than they anticipated. (52 in total.)

Wireless makes perfect sense for the Wii.
The fewer gastly cables that stick out of it, the better!

Me and a friend went to a midnight launch event in neighbouring Norway.
Wii (ZOMG! ROFL) bought the same bundle as you.
