You can sign up a new account with Dreamhost and use the $9/year promotion if they still have it. Seriously, Dreamhost is pretty expensive without the promotion. You can also move your site to a free host, wordpress.com, supersized.org, etc. Just transfer your domain to another registrar if you want to keep it, and frame or redirect to the free host.

I don’t think free hosts allow me to access the MySQL databse which means that I can’t move my old entries. I also use quite alot bandwidth and have borderline NSFW content.

I’d rather not use the promotional code again and again every year because I’m sure Dreamhost didn’t mean for it to be used like that. I want to keep my site, not lose it

I believe there is a Wordpress plugin that will let you backup the database from inside the Admin panel. I think it’s called WP-DB Backup. It should let you backup the entire blog pretty easily.

Ads are a good idea. But don’t have popup ads. Icons and links at the sides of the main page are a good idea. Maybe an ad for HLJ on the image board is a good one. After I see figures there I sometime go to HLJ to see if it is available.
