Computer games blamed for teen road deaths

Computer games and cavalier attitudes are being seen as the reason youths are dying on the roads.

Three Auckland teenagers were killed when the vehicle they were in crashed off the Northwestern Motorway in Auckland during a high-speed police pursuit on Christmas Eve.

National’s transport spokesman Maurice Williamson says today’s young people think they are bullet-proof. He blames Playstations and X-boxes for making teens think they can drive stupidly and just push the reset button if anything goes wrong.

Mr Williamson believes 15 is far too young to be behind the wheel of a car.

Insurance companies ask for age and not video games experience for a reason.

It’s not the games fault that…

For 1, there parents didn’t bring them up properly.

2, There mental enough to run away from the cops and not drive responsibly.

I hate people who try and blame stuff on video games.

Why isn’t there a damn reset button? It would make life much easier and allow you to do lots of interesting things, especially referring to … I have to stop daydreaming.

Everyone knows there is a reset button.

We’re just too scared to press it, because Mr. Sonny Resetti will yell at you and really will erase your file and demonlish your house.

What carnage will the Wii unleash? Oh horrors, as bad as my Atari 2600 was or that evil called the Vectrix. You kids never had it so safe, Pong ate my whole generation with mint sauce…

Let me think just a minute… The majority of the video games i hear of people playing, two of which i just quit, are mmorpgs. Every time i see a person start playing them, the person hardly leaves the computer let alone their house. Just this christmas weekend my buddy who’s bumming internet and i only went out side to aquire food. Otherwise we played that game, Rapplez, nearly 20 hours of the day.

If he hadn’t nearly passed out on his key board i think he would have played longer.

I really would like to kill the dude who first came up with the phrase “there is no reset button.” For some reason people think it’s a cool phrase to use to when acting high and mighty against some stereotypical imaginary gamer. Well I personally think people who used that phrase is probably some tech-illiterate fossilized old geezer.

That’s cause nintendo’s customers aren’t as stupid as sony’s or microsoft’s and people know that xP (purely satire)
