Yes, I was vote stacking, and abq you more than likely received an email from me feigning ignorance. I realize now, sitting in the melancholy of my afternoon game design class, and watching Manabi Straight!, that I was wrong.

I realize now, that - for me at least - it’s not about who emerges victorious in the end, though I fervently believed this to be true up until now; it’s more about how you feel about yourself and the outcome of your actions at the end of the day, and being able to rejoice in the fact that we could witness the rise of any such loli deserving to win. In retrospect, I recall thinking to myself, ‘they’re all winners in my book’, and each should be able to have an equal chance to win. I’d hate to lie to an anonymous fanbase gravitating around a battle to the last loli standing but I’d hate even more to lie to myself. Therefore, I have vowed never to cast another vote in this battle in order to atone for being so selfish. This is my binding word, and I ask that it be taken at nothing more than face value, for that is all it is worth at this point.

abq, whether or not you lift my ban is up to you. I understand completely if you are content with it as it is and I have little choice in the matter other than to sit back and spectate from here on out. I do not seek to be forgiven; that is not my way, and if a deserved permanent ban is what I must deal with to make amends, then so be it. However I truly do enjoy your site and would greatly appreciate a second chance to prove myself; I would consider it a privilege, being there at the end to see a victor. I was biased from the very beginning and I now humbly step down to allow my fellow man to do what is right for the sake of lolidom. I can only hope that I am not alone in this reflection, and that no one makes the same mistake.

To stop the proxy faggotry that was in Suiseiseki/Eva and Suigintou/Misuzu polls. They can still proxy spam, but they won’t be able to make it an even match from start to finish. I must say, owned.

Now if only those two matches had this, I think we’d of seen VERY different outcomes.

They are hidden now so people can’t see who is winning at the time. This way, people who want to stack a few votes on to even things out if their person is losing, won’t know if they are winning or not anyways. This doesn’t really stop them from doing it anyways, but its at least some form of deterrent towards it.

Hiding the votes will probably help to reduce proxy and bot votes but it takes some of the fun out of when you can’t check back in between classes and see how your favorite loli is doing. On the other hand everyone will get a big loli surprise every day when the winner is announced. For a challenge try and call the percentages.

I do kinda miss being able to check back, but to eliminate the proxy voting it’s fine, I kinda wish /b/ didn’t get involved so we wouldn’t have actually had to worry about it in the first place but meh…
