GO YUKI!!!!! ♥
A Rei clone that I don’t want to punch? I thought it wasn’t possible.
May Saint Nagato-chii of The Thought-Data-Integration-Entity prevail!
Yuki Is not a loli…
Yuki isn’t necessarily loli, no, but neither are a few other characters. Strawberry Panic’s Chiyo is a bit more loli but I don’t like her anywhere near as much. So, Yuki it is.
Now if Haruhi or Mikuru were in the running, that would be a definite not loli… but at least Yuki is flat.
Now that is one cute Yuki picture ;O!
>>>Now if Haruhi or Mikuru were in the running
Except we were shown loli-Haruhi, so technically she qualifies.
Ganbatte Yuki-chan!
>>Except we were shown loli-Haruhi, so technically she qualifies.
And the last time you brought that up I indicated why it would be pretty cheap to include her. You can’t start including short flashbacks to childhood and calling those separate “characters” eligible for the poll. Not when it’s like 2 minutes in a 14 ep show.
Chiyo Tsukidate!!!!
Haruhi herself called Mikuru a big breasted lolita! Defying god is blasphemous you know.
Whether or not Yuki is loli, I’m still voting for her.
WHAT DID CHYIO-CHAN DO TO DESERVE THIS MISMATCH!!!!?????
I want Chyio chan to win but i know she doesn’t stand a chance. But rest assured she has my vote anyway…..

Yuki~

“Pretty cheap” means she still qualifies. Plus, who wrote the rules saying that you can’t include characters from flashbacks?
Plus, it’s not like she’s a completely different character. She’s just the chibi version of an established one.
I’ve had enough of this ‘Yuki isn’t a loli’ crap, when no one complains about similar characters. Take Shana for example. Their personalities are a completely 180 from each other but aside from that many of their characteristics are identical.
–They’re both from far away places on a secret mission.
–They both have kick-ass powers to help complete said missions.
–They’re both posing as 1st year high school students to further their mission.
–They both have the appearance of a barely-pubescent young girl.
–Both character designs by Ito Noizi
If you break down character design into something like the hero machine the only difference would be the hair, the katana, and the color of the seifuku.
What are some reasons why she isn’t a loli.

Her b00bies are humungo! DUH!
>>“Pretty cheap” means she still qualifies. Plus, who wrote the rules saying that you can’t include characters from flashbacks?
No, no it doesn’t mean that. It’s a stupid stupid idea, and the brackets are already set anyway, so just drop it for christ’s sake.
M y vote goes to Nagato.
Read the translated novel if you haven’t already!!
It’s got to be Yuki. I just imagine I’m that lucky pink stuffed animal…
Poor Chiyo. I like her and all, but same deal with Hayate (not my favorite from Strawberry Panic). So I’m going with Yuki.
Why Chiyo??
Kagome is more loli than her.
Yuki rocks, Strawberry Panic sucks. ’nuff said.
Short-haired lolis. Yum!
Like most of Yuki’s battles, this one’s over before it’s even started.
Yuki Is not a loli…
Yuki’s actually only three years old, so I guess she’d be toddler-con.
Lol, if Yuki is toddler-con, then Dizzy (from Guilty Gear) must be a todder-con too, since she’s also technically three years old! It makes percent sense. /sarcasm
Still a funny argument though.
Gawd. That Yuki picture forced a temporary lapse of better judgement. Loli or not, I had to vote for her.
Yuki Is not a loli…
Which is de definition of loli?
There is almost no way Yuki would lose in terms of popularity, and Loli-con-ness. The only thing that could stop a Yuki victory would be you know what.
If the same thing happens as what happened to Hayate, i would be too disillusioned to vote anymore.
lol @ the “adult only” on the upper right side on Yuki’s full picture. Yuki = mai waifu

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t you (anon) the one bringing this up and arguing over it?
Yuki-chan!
Yuki may not technically be loli; but she sure looks like it, and took my vote because of my love for The Melancholy.
I just can’t wait to vote for Kyon’s little sister!!! She’s such an incredibly cute loli, and one of my all time favorites! ^_^
Chiyo, no doubt, but I’m also sure it’s a lost cause. >_>
>>Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t you (anon) the one bringing this up and arguing over it?
Yes, you are wrong. I had hoped he would leave his argument in the other thread or two he mentioned it in, but alas… and he brought it up again in this thread with:
“Beowulf Lee Comment on Jan 31st, 2007 at 0:45
>>>Now if Haruhi or Mikuru were in the running
Except we were shown loli-Haruhi, so technically she qualifies.”
So, no, I didn’t “bring it up” here, I asked that it not be brought up. So, get it? Good. If that clears up the misunderstanding, I’d like to not talk about it anymore because it’s a moot point. Thanks.
While Yuki is a cool character, she’s just too mature. Her loli-ness just ain’t there.
Chiyo, on the other hand is such a hugable Loli
I voted Nagato. I didn’t like chiyo that much.
On the other hand, if Nagato was against Kagome, the other StoPani loli, it would have been Kagome all the way even if I am a die hard Nagato fanboy. Something about Kagome’s “Pashibaru~” made her very huggable.
Yuki Nagato-sama rulez !
who cares if she’s a loli or not ? ;p
>>who cares if she’s a loli or not ? ;p
it count!! this is loli-battle..
but its true shes 3, and her appearance is too..
so appearance is the key.. even 23y’o morino ichigo is considered loli.. so it’ll became personal preferance here.. (thus biased..)
i think yuki being here is proof that shes considered loli.. (at least in here..)
think i already post that toddler cant event stand/speak yet..
so if lolicon is considered young girl molester.. (^^ yay!!)
then toddlercon is baby molester.. (>_<)
>>Yuki Is not a loli…
I agree that Yuki is not a loli, but that picture of Yuki is lolicious.
And the quality of Chiyo picture is very bad in quality. Is it intentional?
Btw I won’t vote for this time. I haven’t watch Strawpani and I don’t think Yuki is a loli.
>While Yuki is a cool character, she’s just too mature. Her loli-ness just ain’t there.
hmmm, isn’t it applicable to Primula too?
>> And the quality of Chiyo picture is very bad in quality. Is it intentional?
I had the same pic from the StoPani illustration book. They were from the magazine where StoPani was originally published.
YUKI NAGATOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NAGATO NAGATO NAGATO NAGATO NAGATO!! VOTE FOR NAGATO!! -HANDS OUT LEAFLETS- NAGATO!
Yuki, of course!
“Yuki Is not a loli…”
Why not? She’s the new freak goddess after Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, and she’d be under 15.
too hard to choose. dunno what to vote now.
Go Go Yuki Go
If you’re under 17, you’re a loli.
I think this one could go either way, honestly. I love chiyo because her crush on Nagisa is just too cute, but Yuki just pwns it up either way, being 3 years old and an alien.
As usual it comes down to popularity, not true lolidom, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. *vote abstinence*
i’m torn..
*tossing a coin*
*head*
*voted chiyo*
oh well.. both are cute anyway..
>>>Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t you (anon) the one bringing this up and arguing over it?
My dear young grasshopper, there will be a time when you too learn from the numerous flame wars yet to be fought, that the closest thing to winning an argument on the internet is your opponent begging you to drop the subject all the while telling you that you’re wrong and stupid with no justifiable support.
anon is right about one thing though, that once a character gets bracketed, not voting for her solely because she’s not “loli” is a poor reason.
>>anon is right about one thing though, that once a character gets bracketed, not voting for her solely because she’s not “loli” is a poor reason.
Putting aside your general loose grasp on reality, I never even said the above. If you don’t feel a character is loli, then it’s perfectly fine not to vote for her in a, well, lolibattle.
For me, it’s more about expanding my definition of loli for the purposes of the tourney. Generally, I use the term loli in my mind to categorize characters into the “too young to be attractive” group. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still awesome characters though. But I do think Yuki is quite attractive, and when I think of her I don’t really think “loli”. This tourney uses a broader definition though, and the way it’s used for this tournament makes me feel like she’d sort of fit, at least in relation to some others that have been nominated (Shiori, Shana, etc).
Generally if I think a character in this tourney can’t even fit a broad definition of loli, I won’t vote for her, unless I like her much more than the other character and even then I might abstain. Say… Motoko Kusanagi is fantastic, but even if she were in this tourney and up against a character I hated, I wouldn’t vote for her. She is most certainly not loli.
I will attempt to explain my reasoning, but first I will say that people can do whatever they want to do, because after all, the internet is serious business.
anon stated that arguing over whether loli-Haruhi qualifies in this battle or not is a moot, meaning useless, point because the brackets are already done. It is true in this perspective: candidates for this battle were already picked, there’s no point in trying to get a new character in.
(Note, however, that I wasn’t trying to get loli-Haruhi in, I was just stating that she would qualify, for let’s say, for next year; but that’s another point entirely.)
Following on anon’s logic, the qualification process of the candidates are over, meaning that the decision whether a character is “loli” or not has already been made, meaning that within the context of this tournament, all the characters are “loli”. (Like anon said, the context is pretty broad.)
Then, since in the context of this tournament, the characters have been defined as “loli”, the point of whether a character is “loli” or not is moot. (Because it’s been established in the context of this tournament that they are and the brackets are already done!)
Again, the internet is serious business and people can do whatever they want to do.
>too young to be attractive
no such thing.
>>>no such thing.
Only in anime.
But even in anime, what about Hughes’ 3 month old baby? On second thought, forget I brought the subject up.
>>no such thing.
Zygotes are superior
This was so unfair to Chyio-chan. Yuki shouldn’t have been allowed in this. She’s too much of a powerhouse to be beaten.
Yuki doesn’t need /b/-tard fanbouys to win. She can hack the poll herself.
Poor Chiyo-chan… I like her, but the outcome was inevitable. And I voted Yuki anyway. Yay Yuki!
Lady’s and gentleman your eventual Winner… Not even a Loli.
What is exactly “loli” anyway?
I thought that is “girls who under 15″, Yuki’s 3, ok?
I watched StrawBerry, too, but, Yuki is much better, cuter, smarter,………
If there are any anime girl battle with Yuki, I don’t care who, even Haruhi, I bet Yuki’l win, again.
