Shinku is the best doll of them all. She’s got a great character design, an excellent personality, no annoying catchphrase, performs a tsundere role unbelievably well, no (openly) obsessive fanbase, and her voice is perfect for her character (makes her sound like she could speak perfect English with an aristocratic tone with no effort). Plus, she’s too cute to hate, unlike Junk.

But which kind? There are so many choices! Depending on how you define your plane you can probably do some very interesting things not possible in normal Euclidean space. It could get pretty complicated though. When was the last time you needed to get out your Ti-89 and graph some equations for some good old fashioned loli-sex?

Only like ~700 people voted this time, if there was proxy it’d be rather insignificant.

Although this is odd, since it’s basically accepted that Rozen Maiden is ten times more popular than Demonbane. I guess she’s just once again, like Hina Ichigo, a weak choice.

It’s better that Rozen Maiden is out though. Think about it, if Suiseiseki and Suigintou didn’t get cheated out of their guranteed victories, they were in seperate brackets, one of them would’ve made it all the way to the finals and won it all, and that’s just no fun, it’d be Saimoe all over again, only a much smaller scale. Now at least there’s doubt over who will win.

Well, that’s easily the most surprising result of the contest so far. Perhaps Choco beating Hayate, say, was unexpected, but this… I would have bet on a landslide victory for Shinku. It’s true that I’m much more of a Shinku-fan than a desutard, so I may have been overestimating her chances, but still. There seems to be something like an anti-RM sentiment at work here (not that it matters anymore).

Side characters? Al is the main heroine of her series, and Mizusu is also the main of her respective world. The main main heroine of Rozen Maiden is pretty much Shinku, with Suigintou playing the villian etc. Like Evangeline of Negima of whom Suiseiseki went up against, Desu can also be considered a supporting character

It is true however that the Rozen Maidens are probably better known, or hyped and thus your thinking in the matter.

Because of Suiseiseki being a meme though, even if she’s a side character she’s the most popular Rozen Maiden, with Suigintou as a close second. Look at Saimoe 2005 and 2006, to which it seems this poll was derived from, only scaled down a little, I’m guessing for bandwidth issues or something of that sort. In 2005 I believe Souseiseki took second place, Shinku third place, and Suiseiseki fifth(?). Then in 2006, Suiseiseki took first, with Suigintou as another possiblity if she wasn’t placed in the same bracket as Suiseiseki.

With all that said, you would figure one of them would advance, because Rozen Maiden is one of the more popular animes in this poll. Although Shinku is technically the main protagonist, Souseiseki, Suiseiseki, and Suigintou are far better accepted, and probably why there was so much proxy spammage against Desu and Junk. Without it, there’s no arguing this would be exactly like Saimoe.

I’m not saying that the fanbase isn’t larger, but does it overlap with the visitors of this site? Apparently not.

Suigintou went up against Misuzu. That could have gone either way IMO, foul play or no foul play. 2kochan had a large VOTE MISUZU as the front page and I can imagine that desuchan did some Suigintou campaigning as well. If you assume one side used proxy servers you might as well assume the other side did too in lack of hard proof.

The vote counts for this particular match-up don’t seem unreasonable, so even if there was a measure of foulplay, it can’t have tipped the balance too badly. However, I have a hard time believing Al Azif has a fanbase large enough in the lolitron readership to beat Shinku by a significant margin. I guess quite a few of her supporters voted out of hate for RM (which is fair but sad), out of fear of fraud on the part of RM fans (which was visibly unwarranted), or to punish the troublesome desutards (which is misdirected: desutards don’t care for Shinku).

Lolitron is a direct branch off from Saimoe, the idea and layout came from Saimoe, it stands to reason that it would have voters from Saimoe. Not to mention all of the chans are aware of this. You can shout fallacious reasoning until your face is blue, but logically speaking, there is foul play.

The Rozen Maidens do well in Saimoe.

Lolitron is a carbon copy of Saimoe(in terms of battle, not content).

Therefore, it is likely at least one Rozen Maiden would do well in Lolitron.

Inductive reasoning, if you want to be logical about it. Suiseiseki even beat Yuki Nagato from Haruhi in 06 Saimoe, she should have no trouble with Evangeline.

The concept is similar but don’t assume the voters are. I would guess a majority of the voters in SaiMoe were Japanese. How many Japanese comments have you seen so far?

Actually, CP and JB is pretty much something all the chans love. The only reason is isn’t shown is…well, it’s illegal. 420chan tried that shit and got partyv&, although it’s far from one of the most popular chans. not4chan, notkochan, and renchan all were very popular too until they all mysteriously went offline and came back up crappier.

And don’t ask how I know the loli chans, I just do you bastards. >_>

The entire reason Suiseiseki won 06 Saimoe is because the bigger chans such as 4chan and 7chan got wind of it. 06 was the fucking year of the Desu, that was guranteed for Sui. And with that thought, most of 4chan, 7chan, apparently kochan, and desuchan are all aware of this poll, so logically speaking, this means big wins for Suiseiseki and Suigintou in particular. My reasoning is that because it is so similar, and because a large base of people who are voting came from the sites that caused Suiseiseki to win, the odds are that not all of them will suddenly be polarized and vote against RM for more obscure characters.

Again, I’m not saying that this one was a cheated match. The votes look pretty consistant with how the votes were before 4chan/7chan got wind of this poll, so this one seems fair enough. But I think even the most hardcore of Anti-RM people can agree that Desu and Junk were cheated. The charts for both were far too consistent with each other to point to massive proxy on both sides. It would be more erratic and spike at various times if that was the case, but no, both times is was a steady increase at the same times, until the last 30 minutes when Eva and Misuzu got a sudden boost.
