Spoken like a true prodigy. Nagato rocks, both literally and figuratively, but in a loli battle, there is no way she should be getting my vote over Fate. Fate-chan for the win.
So we have a battle between two of the greatest characters in anime of recent years. The big difference? This is a loli battle. And Fate is the perfect example of a loli. Whereas Yuki, to be perfectly honest, isn’t a loli at all.
Much as I love Yuki, Fate must win this, if SaiLoli is to be worthy of the name.

One important feature of this contest that shouldn’t be overlooked, I think, is abq carefully avoiding to single out a particular trait of the contestants that we were supposed to vote for. This is not a contest of moe-ness, youthfulness, tsundere-ness or even loli(licious)ness. This is not officially called SaiLoli. This is a popularity contest in which most contestants happen to be loli characters (and most voters happen to be pedos).
Therefore, since I’m more of a Nagato fan than a Fate fan, and since Nagato seems to be the outsider in today’s battle anyway (because Anonymous favors fappability over anything else), my vote goes to her.
Lol, as much as I agree with everyones anti-loli propoganda, let’s not spam the thread with it… we both know everyone who disagrees with that logic will end up voting Yuki outof spite. Also, alot of poll voters, will vote for the Loli that has the most passive fan-base.

Not really. Votes come fast and early, and then sort of taper off.

Now, I may be thinking too much, but wouldn’t most of you consider Mashiro to be one of the least popular Loli’s in this battle? Imouto may have doubled her score, but meh… I feel as if plenty of characters in this contest could have stomped her better then that… I may be wrong though, but that is the way that I see it… either way, i’m hoping Ilya put’s an end to the final character from TMOHS, as long as Fate can rival Nagato that is, which im hoping she does… Dont really have anything against Imouto, but she did not have enough aire time for me to choose her over most of the other loli’s in this competition, even with her Loli-in-a-bag gimmick.

Saint Nagato-chii vs. Feito-chan. Here’s how the battle goes.
Yuki and Fate both float in midair above an unnamed city. Fate’s cape is violently ravaged by the howling wind, obscuring her form against the background of urban lights. Across the vast distance between them Yuki stood in her seifuku and cardigan. Fate calls out to Yuki with pain in her voice “If we had met under different circumstances, maybe we could have become friends.” “The probability is remote,” Yuki replied in her usual monotone, “I wish you no harm but I must advance nonetheless.” “I see,” Fate replied.
The tense silence continued leaving only the sound of the harsh wind. In an instant Fate yelled out “Bardiche!” and her lightning-scythe sprang to life. She charged towards Yuki but was stopped in an instant by and unseen force. Fate was to busy struggling against her invisible bonds to notice Yuki’s actions. Her mouth moved in a blur and she spoke impossibly fast. As Yuki stopped speaking her program, Fate began to realize what was happening. She was able to move slightly and pointed Bardiche at Yuki. With a glare less than hatred but more than determination she called out, “Plasma Lancer!” but no spell burst forth. Bardiche simply replied, “I’m sorry Fate, I’m afraid I can’t do that.” A look of of shock and disbelief slowly overcame her. Fate again yelled another command, “Bardiche, Zanbar Form!” but was once again met with the same reply, “I’m sorry Fate, I’m afraid I can’t do that.” Fate simply stared at Bardiche, stunned by the response. Yuki soon broke the silence, “Barrier Jacket, Sonic Form” she said in an exact copy of Fate’s voice. Fate’s clothing instantly melted away into its unarmored, high speed mode. Fate looked up at Yuki and as she finally realized what was happening her eyes widened with abject terror. Bardiche had been hacked.
Yuki looked across the vast distance between herself and Fate. She felt sorrow in her heart for what she was about to do, but she could not express it in either words or actions. Yuki raised her tiny right hand and pointed it, palm open, at Fate. “I apologize, but I must advance,” Yuki coldly announced. Fate’s eyes narrowed and locked on to Yuki in a spiteful glare as she struggled to break free. A great white flare suddenly erupted from Yuki’s palm and completely engulfed Fate. It continued for several seconds and let out a deafening roar that made it impossible for Yuki to hear Fate’s screams of pain. The great white light pushed Fate back several miles and as Yuki ended it, Fate fell into bay below. Yuki then slowly lowered her arm and adjusted her cardigan. She looked out into the bay where Fate now lay unconscious and tossed about by the waves. Yuki felt a slight twitch in her eye and and unfamiliar feeling in her heart. She then turned around and disappeared without a trace.

Nagato is awesome and has great battle skills, bur Faito chan is AWESOME (with capital letters), can beat the crap out of everyone out there, and also is more loli than yuki. So, this battle is already decided… FATE-CHAN FTW!!!!!!1

I love both Fate and Yuki. Although Yuki isn’t really that loli as much as Fate is and if under different cirumstances it would be just moe-est character I would have to pick Yuki

Hazuki will probably beat Nanoha… it’s unfortunate, but true.. Fate-chan is the most popular character from one of, if not the most bad-ass Mahou shoujo titles Ever! Even with all that, Yuki still has a chance to win this round, as unfortunate as that may be… People who vote Yuki outof spite for fate’s fanbase, or other reasons aside from loliciousness, shouldnt be voting at all! The only bullshit that’s been going on in this tournament, is the fact that Yuki has managed to make it to the finals of this bracket… Her loliciousness factor is nilch. Fate, however, is the epitomy of the perfect loli, and should at the very least, make it to the semi-finals… Hazuki, or possibly Shana would be the only two characters that even should post a threatto her, but since most people have taken this game, and completely re-arranged it’s concept, that may no longer be the case.

I’m starting to think Yuki is going to win this one based on the number of votes, she already had 600+, which was the second highest count of the second round (only lower than Desu vs Gao, which was probably artificially inflated). IIRC, abq had mentioned in that second round that the Japanese had found out about loli battle and that they probably had strong Yuki support. So I’m thinking 900+ total votes 12 hours into the battle means a bunch of Japanese voting Yuki.

I was saying that no matter how old they were in the epilogue of the last episode it doesn’t matter because it was only for about 30 seconds a character and that doesn’t overrule the previous 26 episodes of loliliciousness. The qualification for appearing in this battle is having an appearance in an anime that aired 2005 or later. Since Nanoha and Fate are still the same age they were in the original, A’s which aired in 2005, allows material from the original series as well. Otherwise someone would be like “ZOMG!! you cant use that screencap its from the original not A’s”
If abq does one of these next year after Nanoha and Fate will have appeared in non-loli form for 26 episodes of StrikerS they won’t qualify for this battle. There will be some new lolis though. Let’s hope they turn out well. I just hope the shouta isn’t the typical useless, bratty sidekick.

Not my point. RTF post. I said in the 2nd round, Nagato got 600+ votes (which was the 2nd highest post total in the 2nd round), despite the fact that Choco had clearly been supported more in the comments. After that battle, abq mentioned that the blog had received more access from Japanese IPs during the course of that battle. Later, we speculated that this high vote count for Nagato was due to these Japanese IPs (that would explain Nagato’s underrepresentation on the comments).

If we’re to do this just based on appearances, then yes, Yuki may be an older loli, but she’s still within range (She may have breasts, but they are the small, developing ones of a young puberty), whereas Fate seems so generic “loli” to me. I prefer unique appearances, rather than generic, cookie-cutter methodology (I’m sort of reminded of that scene from Welcome to the NHK where they drew the “most moe character” in a way). To be loli, in normal cases, would be at around the start of puberty or before it.
If one looks this young, they can appear loli, but the Internets get into some sort of giant fight about if they then actually are loli.

Lol, its funny how you could blatantly call Fate a generic loli, when Nagato is the epitomy of “generic”… Tabitha, or Rei Ayanami, practically every other “Quiet”, yet “smart” character has a unique resemblance to that of Yuki; whether its physical, or mental characteristics, Yuki certainly isnt an original copy of either… and honestly, I dont recall one single character from any anime that greatly resembles fates demeanor, or anything else that relates to her for that matter.

Yuki goes to “high school”, and doesnt portray any traits that make a Loli, who, and what they are…. Bad-ass she may be, but Loli she is not. Had this been a battle on how little words one character could say, yet still possess likable characteristics in any given series, then Yuki would win hands down.
And finally; Even if you disagree with the fact she is not loli, she sure as hell isn’t as lolicious as fate, or 90% of all the other characters in this competition.

You don’t recall Galaxy Angel? Not even Ranpha Franboise? You should see that series. It’s one of my personal favorites.
My statement of Fate being generic had nothing to do with her character. That was, as stated, simply on the matter of appearance. Whilst she may have struck me as a young version of Ranpha, there are many characters that look much like her with slight alterations in much of your generic anime (not to call her series generic).
If you look at Rei and Yuki and see a strong, visual connection, then you’ve picked up on something I’ve missed.

I missed your link. Yes, that’s a strong connection. However, that series came out after Haruhi. And the light novels (from which Yuki is entirely derived) came out before the manga the other series is based upon. It’s hard to copy something that didn’t exist at the time.
Unless Fate was created decades ago, she has no such equal claim.

While TMOHS may me more popular then Nanoha a’s, the characters in it, however, are not.. Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha a’s, has legions of sites that pertain to solely the characters.. Namely, Fate Testarossa.

These results have left me disillusioned with the whole process. For Yuki to have lost proves this is not a genuine competition. The arguements against Yuki were, at best, facetious. By all means, she had this vote.
In an honest contest, Yuki would have won. In the wonders of the Internets, Fate gets a large lead as the same people stuff the ballot box.
