    If this isn’t just another one of those “joke polls”, the options may be alluding to the entire battle.

    “Limit freedoms” could easily mean a lot more security from proxies, to the point where it is like that overkill bullshit during SaiGAR.

    “Kill everyone” is pretty obvious, scrap the entire tournament.
    Mother Suiseiseki lost, but helping useless Imouto get this far was a victory in itself, I am content with any decision.

    Kill everyone or limit freedoms…I suppose it would depend on the situation and why the choice is there to begin with. I wouldn’t want to give up my freedoms without knowing what I’m losing; it may be worse than just wiping the slate clean. But if you choose to do that, that doesn’t get rid of the problems that caused it in the first place. (And generally, I’m against killing people, but there are times when it’s needed or justified, aren’t there?)

    In any case, “nothing gold can stay” is making me think that a change is coming. I don’t know what, but it’s going to happen regardless, so everyone should be ready for it. (Hopefully Loli Battle isn’t the Eden that’s sinking to grief, never to rise again; there’s been a few girls who were in the running that I discovered through it.) Maybe it’s saying that some kind of “golden age” has come to an end. Or it could just be a way of making people speculate about something that’ll never happen - who knows (other than abq)?

    Given my name, would any other choice be right? At any rate the poem probably is in respect to the battle coming to it’s end. Yue is probably right in people getting too worked up on this stuff. I must say i love this site and its brought me into more anime than i’ve seen in a long while. Most of the contestants i hadn’t known before looking up their anime and finding some source to watch it. Only a few have really annoyed me, but thats likely the anime than the character.

    All and all i hope this happens again wiether early or not it kept my attention more than anything else these past few months.

    abq, you might have enough loyal followers to have people vote by e-mail. Getting another unique enough e-mail would take way more effort than resetting a proxy and would help to curb the problem. Plus you could limit it to only e-mail addresses given in previous posts. It might be a workable solution (if maybe a bit more work than the old way - but it IS the final so you wouldn’t have to do it again).

    Limit freedom. Play a fair contest.

    if you’re gonna do this or something like this in the future couldn’t you have people register an account or something. tell them the battle is coming up soon and make people register before the participants are even announced. if some people want to register multiple accounts before it even starts good for them, but at least you will know the max possible number of votes and wont have vote counts rise exponentially for some battles.

    I think the solution would be to make it harder to actually make a script to vote with proxies. Doing captchas for example. Of course, the problem is once someone actually does a script, he only needs to post it on the internet and it’s (un)fair game from there. I believe SaiMoe was based on requesting a code to vote. That put time restraints on whoever was proxying, making it less efficient.
