This is quite a hard decision considering I’ve been following:
Shana, Aru, Aruru, Fate, Nanoha, Kana, Illya, Hayate, and Misuzu
which probably wasn’t that good of an idea. This is definitely going to be a tough battle for both and it will decide everything. I personally voted for Shana just because I really liked her seiyuu and character slightly more than Fate, but I love Fate too…orz I hope this will be a close battle and with the registration system now implanted (could of been earlier…) there should be no bitching about the votes/results =D

Don’t assume that the difference between today’s result and the result of previous rounds is illegal votes. Registration doesn’t only turn away people with small penises it also turns away legit voters.

Registration is no Silver Bullet, there will always be ways for deviants to cheat the system… There is no way to know if a user/prevent a user from creating multiple accounts, or using fabricated information.

True, there are some people who wouldn’t vote just because they don’t want to register. But that really isn’t much of an excuse…all it takes is one free email account (which 99.9% of people either have already or can get easily) and a couple of minutes. IMO, “I care, just not enough to register” is like saying, “I don’t really care,” because if someone cared about the results, wouldn’t they take the time to sign up? So if you want to vote 20 times you need 20 IP addresses and 20 unique emails. Only people with small penises would bother. Seriously, why would anyone bother? It’s not like the outcome of this will affect the world.

Some people? You underestimate the laziness of people. It is true that it only takes max 5 minutes from clicking the register link to actually voting but casual people far outnumber the hardcore ones. Not even all casual people would bother clicking to vote when you didn’t have to register.

Well, then they’re not technically affecting the diminished count for this match, because they wouldn’t have bothered to click the two buttons needed to vote in the first place. Of course those people wouldn’t register.
My point in the last post was more that the people who take the time to find support pictures or argue for/against a given loli, shouldn’t make it sound like registration is a major barrier to their voting. (Unless there’s some kind of issue that gets in the way.) If someone like that doesn’t sign up, and then complains because they don’t like the result, they should have taken the five minutes needed so they could throw their two cents in.
I understand what you’re saying about registration and vote count, though; I didn’t mean to make it sound like I thought the only missing numbers would be from proxiers. There are several reasons why the amount of votes for any match could rise or fall - registration’s just one part of it. But it’s hard to tell how much it’s going to cut into casual voting, not without some way to tell that apart from proxy votes.
