    Munkustrap, is okay just that i kind of really pay attention when gin is mentioned, cognac too for that matter. But enough of my only weaknesses.     Yeesh, makes me glad to live somewhere semi-sane. To see people shrug their shoulders to “gunshots are common here” is beyond nuts. If you’re living in hell, stop paying the rent. Sell everything, buy a Greyhound ticket to somewhere with jobs and low crime and raise your kids where they won’t get sucked into drugs and crime and will have a chance at avoiding rape, abuse, and wasted lives. If that means begging charity for several months where you end up, do it. Better than staying in a place like that. If I was a teen living in that place and my parents were too irresponsible to move, I’d steal their wallet and head off somewhere safe and give a false name to whatever child services that existed where I end up. Risky, but what would one have to lose? Do a little internet research at a library about places with low crime, good social services, and decent schools. Or just go to Canada.
