   How’s that ripping of Chobits? More like ripping off Asimov (I Robot, Foundation novels), Piers Anthony (Aprentice Adept novels - the main character marries a robot whose fantasy-world counter was a unicorn and so the baby [girl] is a human-robot-unicorn hybrid), and countless other sci-fi writers.
   As for anime, rather than Chobits, there was this hentai series called Imma Youjo (the ‘Youjo’ part is the only part I’m certai of). The second story was about a guy who made sex androids, but then made one for himself as a wife and you can probably guess some of what happened next (RAPE!).

    Dec. 26, 2007 — Scientists have taken the first steps in reproducing the biological engine that powers a sperm’s tail and modified it for use in nano-sized devices.

    The tiny biological machine is something like a car engine that uses fuel to generate motion.

    Only this machine — composed of 10 carefully arranged enzymes — runs on natural sugars, using them to produce an high-energy molecule called adenosine triphosphate, or ATP for short.

    In the case of sperm, ATP energizes the tail. But it could also be used in nanorobots that do everything from activate drug-delivery pumps to manufacture missing enzymes necessary for healthy bodily functions.

    “We’re taking what sperm have already figured out how to do and using it for a nanotechnology application,” said Alex Travis, assistant professor of reproductive biology at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY.

    I am sure that in the future, guys that date robots instead of real girls will be considered losers much like now a guy that gets a mail order wife from russia is thought of as a dork.

    BTW, Hideki tried to have a relationship with Yumi, a real girl from his work, but she thought him a weirdo and he was stuck with the robot girl Chii.
