not just another anime blog
Hosting bill is paid
Thanks to Angelus, a guy from Los Lunas NM, Sixten and a few other kind benefactors, lolitron will stay online for at least another year, that is a promise. I reserve the right to nullify promises in the case of force majeure or the inevitable Armageddon as foretold by Jehovas’ Witnesses or other similar events. Blowing a loli fuse shall be considered as the latter.
Why not accept free hosting from anonymous Internet user?
I got a few offers from people who were willing to host my blog free of charge. I’m probably stupid for not accepting them, but I’m some what of a control freak — a paranoid control freak. I don’t like people touching my stuff. Not to mention that moving all the files would take an eternity.
How about ads?
I generally don’t want to make my blog more cluttered than it already is. Does something like AdSense really work on a moderately small site?
You should get a co-author for those slow months
Control freak. I may walk a thin line between creepiness and humour, but I know just how batshit insane I am. I don’t have to ask myself if I really meant what I wrote or just wanted to act like Tom Cruise in Oprah’s couch for shit and giggles. Because Tom Cruise isn’t really crazy, right? He is an actor and acting is what actors do. That Xenu crap… he can’t really… no?
And who is actually stupid enough to invest time in a site like this when they can use the time to find the meaning of life or masturbate or something equally rewarding?
New, fancy design
Do you have any idea how hard it is to find well-designed themes that with ease can be pinkified to make them manlier? Or to find information about usable plugins? Just fucking google it? Well, it seems like 90% of all Wordpress-related tips on the Internet are horribly outdated.
While waiting for the bus today, I went into a store to sample a few men’s magazines. I saw a copy of Macworld with a picture of Steve Jobs on the cover and instantly pitched a tent. They had an article about Wordpress where they listed a few nice themes.
It usually takes a week for me to make a theme manlier. I work at snail pace and as far as coding goes, I don’t even really know what the head tag is for. Maybe I do, I’m not a complete retard. What I want to say is that I’m good at stealing code and let the linguist inside me do the work by trial and error.
The theme is more or less intact. I implemented tags, expanded the main post at the expense of the sidebars, corrected the rounded backgrounds due to said changes and slapped Hazuki to the header. To my surprise, even after pulling a Frankenstein the theme wasn’t butchered at all.
All that is left to do is to remove some of the communist symbols and replace them with cat symbols. A quick estimate tells me that it will be done by the next millennium.
Ninja edit: I’ve only tested the site in Safari and Firefox. It probably looks fine in Opera but I suspect that the header is a bit off when it comes to colour in Internet Explorer.

Really great design my boy.
Good look and kudos for another year with you!

Still way too communist…..you definately have to replace that star…. We use that here as the symbol for Madison, Wisconsin on the madison.com website…and NOTHING says Communism like Madison, Wisconsin. =P I would suggest replacing it with a Hammer and Sickle.
The font is naught manly enough either, since there’s nothing manly about fascism. =O I would suggest a font such as Dom Casual.
Seriously though, a leaner and meaner looking font would do the trick.
Aww I liked the way it looked before
Awww thank you… still waiting for my lolis though, have you got the DHL (Damn Hot Lolis) tracking number?
i dont know why pink is manly..
anyway.. how can i edit the icon next to my name.. ??

Sometimes I don’t know(you remember that placenta thing, right). Also, capitalize Anonymous “A”.
Hey, it’s capitalized, nvm. It only looks gay on the Recent Comments.
It was quite a nice surprise to see the new visual, now I want the new lolis as well…
Well, it looks fine in Opera.
Like the new lay out! Looking forward to a year of awesomeness here.
(Hope my avatar shows up)
This is totally a development question: How did you get the Shockwave? Did it come with the blog theme?
Shockwave?
Shockwave, the thing that pops up to show pictures from the hyper links.
It’s a plugin called Lightbox 2. I don’t think it’s Shockwave but rather some fancy javascript or ajax or whatever
Ahh, thanks mate.
