    Letting Rei and Asuka enter is a bad move IMO. There are other non-lolis in the list, but I don’t think a character like Chii is a serious contender in a loli tournament. Rei and Asuka, on the other hand, have high odds of advancing to later rounds in spite of dubious merits as lolis, eliciting much bitching in the process.

    Let’s have girls from Ojamajo Doremi instead, or Akazukin Chacha, or Sugar Sugar Rune, whatever. Just not Eva.

    Looks mainly ok, I have some concerns about Rei and Asuka too (stares at his shelf with the anime figures on to look at a Rei gashapon that’s angled exactly so he can see her panties when he’s at the computer). It’s not that they aren’t sexy or anything, I mean, Rei is number one on my list of CILFs (”Clones I’d Like to F***”), but they’re just too, well, grown up. I agree that their inclusion is likely to cause issues in the competition too because the fanbois will vote for them regardless of their loliness or lack thereof.

    Oh, and has anybody else noticed that there is a FERRET on the list????

    Rei and Asuka are aged 14. Right on the edge of loli to me. Whereas ones like Osaka are high school, 16 and up. (Thus why I’m not too upset over the exclusion of the Sailor Scouts, they got older)

    A pretty good list!

    I don’t think the non-loli characters (or at least, broad-interpretation loli characters) will make it to the next rounds, but there are two additions I think you could add to make things a little more interesting.

    Mint Blancmanche from Galaxy Angel, and Moetan! You even did an article on Moetan, and I think she’s one of the best lolis ever drawn. It doesn’t really matter what I think, but I think she could advance pretty far, depending on who she was up against.

    While I think it’s a good generalization, it’s still a generalization. I have a friend who’s 19 and would pass for middle of puberty. I don’t consider her jail-bait, and I feel the same for anime characters.

    I think each should be judged individually, and by each individual person. To me, Asuka and Rei are on the very top end of loli (It’s darn close, I won’t be too upset if they’re taken out), but I would still consider them loli. Not all 14 year olds, but those two, yes.
