I wanted Tomoyo to win, but a Sakura will make me cum too (Especially after looking at all those images on gelbooru)!
As for frequent loli polls, I believe one or more of the blog sites abq has links to does that already (Animekon for starters). Lets not work abq to death…yet!
The outcome wasn’t so surprising, and the actual matchup was pretty much a foregone conclusion once I saw Tomoyo and Sakura in different halves of the draw
Excellent battle all told. Good job, abq! Thanks to all that voted
And is that necessarily bad if it was obvious? If the whole object of the poll was to simply find out who was the most popular, just putting all the candidates up at once and having a straight vote across the board would sort that out in a single day. It’s not just the result, it’s the whole process that’s exciting - pitting the contestants (I was about to say “girls”, but then, not all of them were human) against eachother in pairs and comparing their relative qualities. But then, I’m a fine one to talk because I sat this whole contest out
Why stop at a Loli-Parliment? Lets go for a whole Loli-Government from a national level (Queen, Prime Minister, …etc.) down to a local level (Mayor, Sheriff, …etc.). There’ll be enough voting to last for the rest of the year, at least!
I would personally prefer a variation on the borga method–pick the top 8 lolis you like best, from most to least–for the first round, and then switch to first past the post for the quarter finals and on.
A parliamentary format doesn’t really make sense for this kind of thing, and I don’t want to even think how proportional representation would work.
I think the borga method’s preferable, just have to tweak it so you can only rank a few favourites, rather than everyone, to prevent tactical voting.
Additionally, the problem with these tournaments is that there’s a lot of revenge voting, anti-voting, or tactical support of someone (either because they’re a weaker competitor against a character you like in the future, or just a stronger competitor against an opponent you dislike in the future).
All these contribute to sort of just fucking up the results.
That, and there’s always the problem with lucky matchups and getting put into a weak bracket. Of course, I doubt people really feel like doing round robin for this.
And I’m sure the method I proposed won’t get rid of all the problems, particularly once you get into the first past the post system part, but it’d at least ensure the top 8 chosen are most likely representative of the best liked of the group.
Obviously, I’m just rambling about an ideal. I don’t have the first idea how this could be implemented at all.
First off: Was there ever any doubt? I remember posting during the previous loli battle that I liked abq’s decision to keep to recent anime because an unlimited tournament would just have CCS Sakura win and everyone would see it coming. If I were childish I might say I told you so, but I’m just happy this is a winner nobody will have a problem with.
Also, I like the loli parliament idea. I can see an immaculately decorated room with dozens of lolis in sharply pressed uniforms presiding over a stern and confident tsundere pounding at a central podium.
@ILove4thGraders:
Don’t you mean you can see a stern and confident tsundere getting pounded at a central podium while presiding over dozens of lolis in sharply dressed uniforms in an immaculately decorated room?
No, let’s try this: Dozens of lolis in sharply dressed uniforms are getting pounded in an immaculately decorated room presided over by a stern and confident tsundere.
Yeah, I think that’s the appropriate image.

Boring finale is boring.
abq should set-up monthly or even weekly randomly determined Loli match-ups.
If not, most of us will go into withdrawl…
@Jay: just enjoy things unless you are willing to do better!
@abq: GREAT FUN!
@LoliHat: I mostly agree, let’s hope abq keeps doing polls (1/week would be nice!)
@Sakura: congrats! now Tomoyo will give you your “prize”

Yeah, the outcome was predictable :\
Well whatever, it was fun. I’m looking forward to more polls~
^Didn’t realise I posted that anonymously…
I’ll say it again:

WTF?! Seriously? You guys disappoint me.
Yeah yeah I should have voted, but it’s obviously better to sit back and complain about other peoples’ decisions.
For the record I was the first one to predict the Sakura vs Tomoyo final — Thank You
I voted for Tomoyo. Wished the results were closer, but this is all good.

Hey, where can we bitch about the current poll?
Seriously, “Anime about people watching anime”???!!!
I saw Otaku no Video and a few others, they weren’t too great…
LOLI’s! Semi-Nude Girls! Vote for real! Come On!
obvious outcome was obvious

@Angelus: They can still be called girls, even though they aren’t human.
@Anonymous: A young ferret of either sex is a “kit”, not a girl
@Angelus:
What? No Instant run-off voting? Why not vote for blocks in a Loli-Parliment?

gee, this was totally unexpected
It’s finally over.
Sakura came far, and therefore has nothing to be ashamed of. My little Chiyo-chan didn’t make it so far. Oh well.
I’m thinking this finale was a little dull because someone was expecting someone else to win.
Still, well done, gentlemen and batshit insane bisexual ladies.
Why did I type “Sakura” instead of “Tomoyo”? Oh well, I’ll just hope no one notices.

A loli parliament - now there’s a wonderful idea. I’m sure they wouldn’t come up with the bright idea of banning lolicon.
For the record, high school stuff means high school hentai.
I’m sure if it said “Elementary” or “Middle school” instead, it’d get a lot more votes.
