This is not it

I don’t have a clear idea of what I want to do with lolitron. I don’t know if I ever had one.

Back in the days, after being banned for the nth time on 4chan for flooding /c/ with slightly risqué loli pictures on a daily basis, lolitron gradually became the outlet where I would say the most inappropriate things possible in the hopes of being flamed.

During that period, anime blogging really began to take off. Most people wrote summaries or in-depth analyses of individual episodes. I never really understood the point of summaries or in-depth analyses. Instead, I tried to pair out of context one-liners with screencaps. The result was, admittedly, often not clever or witty at all, but it was my shtick – that and the creepiness.

In the end, the old paradigm of episodic blogging is what held me back and eventually led to the downfall of lolitron. In time, I reached the point where I could not keep up, and, like the French, simply gave up. I tried to pick up blogging a few times, but the plight of episodic blogging prevented me from staying active.

What is going to be different this time, you ask. Between school and my obligations as a TA, time is stretched thin. To a certain extent, I do intend to do what I once used to. However, I will not blog about individual episodes or try to keep up with the latest anime season. With those two restrictions out of the way, I’m sure things are going to be different this time.

Also, this is not an anime blog; expect posts about all kinds of shit – your little sister included.

To sum things up: fuck episodic blogging, fuck the latest anime season line-up and fuck Jack Black (don’t ask).
