Couple stand by forbidden love

At their home in Leipzig, Patrick Stuebing and Susan Karolewski are in the kitchen, playing with a young toddler.

Patrick and Susan say they have no other choice but to fight the current law.

“I have read that some doctors claim that children born to siblings could be disabled, but what about disabled parents who have children, or older parents?” asked Patrick.

“People have said that our children are disabled, but that is wrong. They are not disabled,” said Patrick.

“Eric, our eldest child, has epilepsy, but he was born two months premature, he also has learning difficulties. Our other daughter, Sarah, has special needs,” Patrick said.

“It’s legal for the couple to live together, and to share a bed. But they are breaking the law once they have sex. If there are no more children, then who will be able to prove that they are a couple?” asked their lawyer.

Actress sacked for revealing too much

Wearing a revealing dress may guarantee an actress column inches, but in Thailand it can also leave her sentenced to community service and with her career in ruins.

Chotiros Suriyawong, a 22-year-old actress better known by her stage name of Amy, has been publicly vilified after she dared to turn up to Thailand’s version of the Oscars ceremony in a dress modelled on Elizabeth Hurley’s well-known safety-pin number.

She has been sacked from the cast of a film in which she was due to appear and ordered by her university to make a public apology and to do 15 days of community service by reading to the blind.

An Urbana elementary school teacher is arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting three of his students.

26-year-old Jonathan Andrew White is accused of sexually assaulting eight-year-old girls last November.

White was a second grade teacher at Thomas Paine Elementary School in Urbana.

He was taken into custody Wednesday morning when he arrived for work.

According to the state’s attorney, White blindfolded the girls in his classroom and played sexual games with them between last September and December.

The school sent a letter home to parents Thursday about the arrest.

White pleaded not-guilty Thursday afternoon when he was arraigned on three class x felonies of predatory sexual assault.

Each count carries a mandatory prison term of six to 30 years.

White is being held in the Champaign County jail on half a million dollars bond.
