not just another anime blog

2007
Aim: $100
Result: $100
Hosting bill is paid
Thanks to Angelus, a guy from Los Lunas NM, Sixten and a few other kind benefactors, lolitron will stay online for at least another year, that is a promise. I reserve the right to nullify promises in the case of force majeure or the inevitable Armageddon as foretold by Jehovas’ Witnesses or other similar events. Blowing a loli fuse shall be considered as the latter.
Why not accept free hosting from anonymous Internet user?
I got a few offers from people who were willing to host my blog free of charge. I’m probably stupid for not accepting them, but I’m some what of a control freak — a paranoid control freak. I don’t like people touching my stuff. Not to mention that moving all the files would take an eternity.
How about ads?
I generally don’t want to make my blog more cluttered than it already is. Does something like AdSense really work on a moderately small site?
Update coming soon.
You know the drill, ’tis the season of giving and all that. Now ask yourself, would you rather give your money to bring joy to sick kids in hospitals or to me so I can spend Christmas in abquerque keep my site for one more year? The choice should be easy if ask me.

Thanks to Ashura, InfinityB, Twilight1 and last, but not least, the Borg-esque collective known as Anonymous. Those who wanted to help but for one or another reason couldn’t also have my gratitude. If this site and its debauchery last for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was its finest hour.”
Aim: $30-$40
Result: $145
It’s Christmas time again, which unfortunately means that my hosting plan with DreamHost soon expires. It costs $120 for a year and I have two options to make it more humane for my wallet; suck cock in shabby restrooms or beg for donations. I choose the lower of the two on the dignity ladder.
If you want this site to continue for another year, please donate a buck or two (preferably a little bit more because PayPal charges asshole fees). In case I decide not to renew the hosting plan, I will refund all donations. The refunds will be out of my own pocket because the donations go directly to DreamHost via PayPal. When it comes to money, I’m a man of my word.
Since the money won’t go to my own PayPal account and therefore I can’t take the money and run away to a paradise island and live the good life with loli servants, all you have to do is to contribute over 50% of the cost. If you do that it would make no sense for me not to continue.
Please Loli Santa Pleinair, let me keep my blog for at least another year.

To those who donated, thanks.
Aim: More than $0
Result: $80
My deal with Dreamhost runs out at the beginning of the next year and I have no idea what I’ll do when that time comes. I would like to continue running this blog, but every time I see that $120 price tag, it makes me wonder if I don’t want to spend it on something else instead.
I’ve heard about people receiving gift certificates from Dreamhost ranging between $10 and $80. Please Dreamhost… please. They didn’t send me any.
I’m accepting donations through PayPal. Not that I actually expect to recieve any, but I’ll gladly be proven wrong. The guilt of recieving even one or two donations, no matter how small, would probably prevent me from bailing out.
Shrink the bill to a level below my wallet’s pain threshold.
